Sweet Calm – Tea Recipe For Calm And Peace

Sweet Calm - Tea Recipe For Calm And Peace www.gabriela.green

We all have those moments during the day when we could just use something soothing and calming. Something to act as a pause button for all the thoughts running around through our mind. A calming tea recipe can be exactly what you are looking for!

The recipe below will offer you a sweet calming hug in a cup. Sounds tempting already, no?

This tea recipe is very easy to make as long as you have all the ingredients in your cupboard.

For recipes like this one, I prefer and recommend buying loose leaf teas instead of tea bags. If you have loose leaves, you can combine them in many ways and create your own tea recipes.

Let your imagination make you discover all kind of tea combinations and recipes. I will guide you through one right now.

Sweet Calm Tea Benefits

Chamomile

Chamomile is known to help reducing anxiety by soothing the nervous system. Promotes sleep and reduces spasms.

It is a great companion when you feel stressed. It also has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.
You can read more about the benefits of chamomile tea in my post here.

Rose petals

Rose petals are lovely even to watch and smell them. They have naturally uplifting effects and sedative properties, which makes them ideal for helping with relaxation.

Enjoying a rose tea before bed will prepare you for going to sleep feeling calm and in a good mood.

Rose tea has antibacterial properties and helps digestion. It is a great extra benefit for when you are stressed. Because often the stress and emotions lead to abdominal tension and it might affect digestion and give cramps.

Linden

Linden tea is generally used to combat anxiety and promote relaxation. It can also be used for fighting coughs and colds but here, together with the other ingredients, will help to induce calm and reduce the anxiety. Linden tea stimulates the digestive process and helps to reduce spasms.

Honey

Honey has anti-inflammatory properties and it will enrich the taste of this calming tea.

Step 3
Pour the water over the tea and let it steep for 3-5 minutes. You can play around with the time depending on how you like the taste of it.
