A journey to self-discovery

A journey of self discovery Gabriela Green Transpersonal coaching

This January, I decided to follow one of my passions to the next level: studying Transpersonal Coaching Psychology. I’ve always been interested in trying to understand more about how the human brain works and why we do what we do the way we do it. Though I didn’t pursue this interest earlier for various reasons, it now felt like the right time to move in this direction.

Little did I know what this year would bring alongside my studies. As I write this, I still have five months left before I complete my certification, and it’s already been quite a ride.

Life became more complicated on the way, but they say that when you are getting closer to reaching your goals and dreams you are being tested. So, I’m choosing to see this rollercoaster ride of my life as a sign that I’m on the right path.

Many people have asked if I truly wanted to take on such a comprehensive program, considering I already have a full-time job and numerous other commitments. I know that it might sound unrealistic to think that I can do them all but whenever I heard that question, I felt a deep, visceral “Yes, of course, I can do it!”—and that feeling hasn’t wavered.

Staying Grounded with Mindfulness

I know how easy it is to feel overwhelmed when juggling so many things at once. Maybe you’ve felt that way too—trying to balance work, personal commitments, and that voice inside telling you there’s something more.

When study time came, I felt overwhelmed and unsure if I was on the right path, or if I even knew what I was doing. I came close to quitting more than once,  but something kept pushing me forward.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re not sure which way to go or if you’re good enough to pursue a passion, trust me, I’ve been there. We all have those moments of doubt, but they don’t define us. What matters is that we keep taking the next step, even when it feels hard.

One thing that really helped me stay grounded during this busy time was making sure I take time each day for myself—whether it was journaling, meditating, sipping tea in silence or practicing one of my tea meditations. It’s amazing what a small moment of mindfulness can do!

Discovering Hidden Strengths Through Coaching

When the next module came, I had to dive straight into practice and conduct coaching sessions. It was terrifying at first but it was during these sessions when I discovered a part of me that had been neglected for years. I had always told myself that, as an introvert, I wasn’t good at connecting with people. Yet, this hidden part of me could easily connect with others, hold space for them, and offer guidance. It had been silenced for so long, but now it was resurfacing.

This was a pivotal moment in my journey. With this rediscovered part of myself, I began daring to do more than ever before—even things I had never done.

It felt like I had a new best friend by my side. This came at the right time because my journey was about to get bumpy.

The next few months brought plenty of ups and downs—mostly downs. But throughout, I received the exact support I needed from the right people. Some were new in my life and some had been there for years.

The boat was floating, I was in it and I was going with the flow. I still am in it but now I learned that accepting that I can’t change the flow of the river brings me more peace than trying to desperately tell the river where to go.

The Joy of Small Wins

Despite the challenges, while learning to navigate these waters, the coaching sessions brought me a sense of peace, fulfillment, and joy. They were far from perfect, but I was learning, improving, and finding my way.

There were little moments of progress—like the first time a client smiled and thanked me after a session or when they were genuinely grateful and impressed by the insights they received during our time together—that reminded me why I was doing this. It’s those small wins that keep us going, right?

Being in the middle of creating a new path for myself, brought me a deep sense of connection with my authentic self. This connection now is my North Star. It allows me to make mistakes, learn from them, call them lessons, and keep going in the right direction with the knowledge gathered along the way.

I am still learning, exploring, and co-creating this path with each of my clients. Slowing down, and being open to new perspectives, new approaches, and guidance make each session a special experience.

What Is Transpersonal Coaching Psychology?

If you are wondering what is Transpersonal Coaching Psychology, here’s a quick overview to help you understand better how you could benefit from it.

Transpersonal Coaching Psychology (TCP) goes beyond traditional coaching by helping you connect with your deeper self and inner purpose. It’s about exploring not just your goals, but the personal meaning and growth behind them. In a TCP session, we might explore areas where you feel stuck or disconnected, helping you find clarity and a renewed sense of direction.

For example, if you’re feeling uncertain about a major life decision—like moving to a new city or starting a new passion project— a TCP session could help you identify not just the practical changes to make, but also the deeper mindset shifts needed to move forward with confidence and balance.

An Invitation to Explore Together

Soon, I’ll begin offering pro-bono coaching sessions as part of my studies. These are open to anyone curious to experience a transpersonal session with me. If you are curious to know more about what this means, click here to connect and see if this could be something for you.

As I said, I’m still learning and evolving on this path, and I’d love to invite you to join me. Whether you’re curious about coaching or simply exploring new ways to grow, reach out and we can figure it out together.
