Boiling water bubbling behind me and I reach for the favorite tea flavor.
Open the tea box and smell the leaves.
Pour them in the palm and feel the crispy texture.
Prepare the teacup and slowly pour the hot water on the leaves.
Wait.
Smell the hot flavored steam and wait.
The color changes step by step into amber and the cup is almost too hot to touch now. I take out the tea leaves and stare for a second at the surface of the tea. There are mini waves agitating the atmosphere inside my teacup but they are calming down and together with them, so are my thoughts
I pick up the cup and put it carefully on my coaster on the desk. The coaster has a lovely message on it: “Do more of what makes you happy”. Ok, I tell myself, I will do that I will do more tea because that is one of the things that make me happy.
