About Me

Who am I?

I’m Gabriela and I’ve started a movement to teach tea meditations because it’s such an easy way to practice mindfulness that I feel like everyone should know about it. It’s my way to contribute to the world of fighting stress. I’m a certified mindfulness practitioner, passionate about tea (lots of daily cups!), yoga, books and anything which can help me relax my mind and forget about stress and endless to-do lists. I’m working on getting better at it every single day and I’m sharing my learnings with you.

Why tea and mindfulness?

My movement and my passion are all about introducing you to tea meditations – it’s a perfect way to blend a love for tea with mindfulness during the day. These meditations are simple and the ideas I offer around mindfulness can easily be applied in 1-2 minute bursts throughout the day. They can help you keep feeling as calm as you do when you leave a tea room/yoga studio throughout the entire day without having to change your schedules and routines. I know that words like meditation and mindfulness might intimidate you. This is why I tried to see beyond all the definitions and find a very easy way to achieve bits and pieces of mindfulness in daily life. There are very simple actions which you can do every day to improve your mood, reduce stress and calm your mind. Believe me, anyone can start being mindful and benefit from mindfulness practices in their daily life.

What if I don’t like tea?

Did you really ask that question? Ok, I’m not judging! Not everyone is a tea addict like me so the answer is: that’s not a problem! You can practice this with any drink (ideally a healthy one but that’s up to you). While enjoying the drink of your choice, the main idea and steps would be more or less the same. Being creative, you can adapt this even to your much-needed glass of red at the end of a busy day if that’s your treat! Although a nice chamomile tea would do wonders in that case! But I hear you, we all have those days, don’t we?

    Why tea?

Since I was little, my mom always had lots of herbal teas at home. Her warm cups of tea were a remedy for everything! She was and still is picking her own herbs throughout the year. She knows exactly what needs to harvested in which month. I learned a lot from my mom about herbs and I’m proud to say that every year I get from her a fresh stock of herbs for my tea cabinet. Tea is what inspired me to start my website because every time I’m enjoying my tea it feels like a meditation on its own. That’s why I thought that tea meditation can be a very easy way to include mindfulness in other people’s lives and I was so right! After that, I discovered more and more simple mindful activities, which I included here on my blog.
