Tea is such a versatile ingredient in our lives. When you first think of it you might see it as a simple drink, which for many people doesn’t actually have a taste unless it is loaded with sugar or something similar. But maybe you never heard of the beauty benefits of tea.

It has many benefits and it actually can be used in various ways, not just as a simple drink.

There are some types of tea you can use to bathe in and they will improve your skin and help you relax. You can cook with tea and you can check here some ideas for that.

Beauty Benefits of Tea

Tea can also be used as a beauty product and here is how:

1. Hair conditioner

You can rinse your hair with different types of herbal tea.
Rosemary tea is beneficial for your hair. It strengthens your hair roots and stimulates hair growth. Green tea can help regenerate damaged hair and reduce the side effects of free radicals.
For better results, you need to steep your tea for 30 minutes to take out all the goodness out of the plants.

2. Hair loss and dandruff

Nettle tea helps removing dandruff and fights hair loss. Drinking 3 cups of nettle tea for 6 weeks, will strengthen the roots and will make your hair look more shiny and healthy. It can also be used to rinse your hair.

3. Reduce dark circles

To reduce the dark circles under your eyes, you will need two tea bags. You can use green or back tea and the results will be better is the tea bags are cold. Apply the tea bags on your eyes and leave them there for 10 minutes. You can use this time to relax and meditate.

4. Face mask

Matcha powder is a green tea powder packed with antioxidants and all the benefits of green tea. You can use them directly on your skin by creating a moisturizing face mask. All you need is a tablespoon of match and one tablespoon of honey (or less, depending on what consistency you prefer). Apply the mask on your face and leave it for 15 minutes.

5. Facial Mist

You can create a wide variety of face mists by taking advantage of the herbal tea benefits. Chamomile tea reduces skin inflammation; mint tea is refreshing; lavender tea has healing and calming effects. You can play with combination of herbal teas and use them as face mists.

6. Skin Toner

If you need a natural toner packed with antioxidants, all you need is green tea and a bit of vitamin E. Make your green tea and steep it longer than usual, add few drops of vitamin E and it is ready to be used. Put it in a spray bottle and it makes a great toner for oily skin
